You do that by first determining the diameter of the decorative upholstery nail head you wish to use. Second you need to measure the total length of the area that is to be trimmed. With those two numbers you can figure how many nails you need. If this sounds like one of those high school algebra word problems and you feel like you could use a second opinion on how many brads to order. Feel free to post to our message board for a second opinion. Always order at least 10% more that what you think you are going to need. Look for a vendor who distributes the decorative upholstery tacks in quantities that best matches your needs.
Quality is important that is why all our upholstery tacks are American and European made. Fine manufactures like Massasoit Tack Band, Heico Fasteners, and Truner & Seymour make the best quality upholstery tacks nails. We do not distribute the nails from China. The quality is not to our standards. I do see some of these Chinese manufactured upholstery decorative nails available on the internet and you can tell from the photos that they are not the same quality.
